Help Them
Matthew 19:13-15: David Thomas (03.16.08) - 8:30, 9:45, 11:15 & 5:15
Think of the people you care about.
What action has more love in it than to bring someone to Jesus?
Then the little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. Matthew 19:13
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrew 7:25
On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. II Corinthians 1:10-11
Intercessory prayer is not tidy and predictable.
But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. Matthew 19:13
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Matthew 21:22
Unselfconscious and simple: this is prayer in the Kingdom of God.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there. Matthew 19:14-15
"Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered." Matthew 10:30
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. I Peter 5:7
Back to your list. Anyone you want to add?
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..." Matthew 5:43-44
On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. II Corinthians 1:10-11
