Julie Broderson Julie equips Centenary's "reaching into the world" ministries, including Local and Global Impact and Centenary's benevolence ministry, the Love Fund. She coordinates Centenary's various short term servant experiences, as well as working with local community organizations to develop ongoing relationships. Julie currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lexington's Resource Office for Social Ministries, and The Mission Society for United Methodists.

Julie grew up in the Central Kentucky area, and joined Centenary in 1976. She accepted Christ into her heart at a youth event at the church and in subsequent years, became involved in youth leadership, bible study, vacation bible school, music and missions.

Upon completion of a degree in Theater Administration from Auburn University, Julie worked for the Lexington Broadway Live series. Following a call into full time ministry, Julie moved to Londrina, Brazil in 1989, and alongside Brazilian United Methodists, served the poor for eight months. Julie in Londrina Brazil In 1990, she returned to Lexington to complete a Master's Degree in Missions and Evangelism from Asbury Seminary.

During seminary, Julie met and married local musician Steve Broderson, and they started a family. For six years, Julie pursued full time motherhood and part time ministry, continuing to serve in the local church as a volunteer with youth, women and missions. When her children started public school, Julie returned to professional ministry as Centenary's part time Pastor for Missions and Ministry.
