What to Expect

We know that visiting a church for the first time can be stressful. We also know that you probably have some questions before you visit. Below, we have tried to answer a few questions that most people have before they come to worship.

What should I wear?
We believe that you being here is more important than what you wear. We want you to be comfortable. That being said, most of our people wear business casual. However, we have people in their Sunday best and others wearing jeans. We want you to feel comfortable and we will welcome you no matter what you wear.

Where should I take my children?
We have excellent programming for children - infants through high school.
- JAMmies, is our ministry to our precious little ones ages birth through Kindergarten. All classes for JAMmies (birth through Kindergarten), are located on the main floor in the Nursery /Preschool wing.
- JAM Kidz , is our Children's Ministry here at Centenary for children grades 1st-4th.
All Sunday school classes for 1st - 4th graders begin in the JAM Zone (room 212 on the second floor) at 9:45am.
- Encounter, our 5th through 8th grade ministry, meets at 9:45am in the Youth Lounge which is room 214 on the second floor. Also at 9:45am, the 9th-12th grade students can worship with parents at the 9:45 service in the Foundry, or attend Sunday school. The High School Sunday school meets in Pastor Tom's office on the first floor, closest to the Sanctuary.

What type of service do you have?

Our 8:30am service in the Sanctuary features our choir, organ, and use of some liturgical elements.
Our 9:45am service in the Foundry has a more relaxed atmosphere with acoustical instruments.
Our 11:00am service in the Sanctuary has a blend of traditional and modern elements with a worship band.
