Truth Seekers
The Truth Seekers Sunday School Class meets at 9:45 AM on Sunday mornings in room 211, the conference room on the second floor. Truth Seekers is a diverse group of people who are not afraid to ask the hard questions in life. There are no age limits, marital status limits, or gender limits. All are welcomed!
While each lesson may be part of a series, each lesson is complete in itself ... which means you can join at any time. We are starting a series whereby each week we will look at a well known (and sometimes less well known) Bible Story. See the bottom of this web page for some details.
As often as we can, we try to publish on this web site as much as we have in writing for each lesson. You may want to read some of our previous lessons -- select from the box below. And we'll be happy to have you join us!
Truth Seekers will begin a new series on April 20 called "Tell Me A Story!" Each week we will look at a well known (and some less well known) Bible story. Is the story as you remember it ... OR ... are there new truth nuggets you perhaps have never seen? When you read a Bible story, do you most identify with the hero or the villain? Could there be some of both in all of us?
Here are topics for the first six weeks of our series:
April 20: David and Goliath
Do you have any giants in your life? Tips for dealing with things that seem larger than life, but aren't. Using the Sword of the Spirit to defeat the things that would attempt to put themselves over God!
April 27: The Prodigal Son
Have you ever made bad decisions? Don't stay in the pig trough. Go Home! Is there someone you love out there … and you would like them to come home? Will you see them when they are still afar off … and will you run out to meet them?
May 4: The Samaritan Woman at the Well
Does everything look good on the outside, but you have a secret that is eating you alive? Jesus already knows. He wants to give you something so real that anything less will never appeal to you again.
May 11: Jonah and the Whale
Has God ever told you to do something and you told him you didn't want to … or you would take it under advisement and get back with Him? What happens when we don't follow God's Direction for our lives!
May 18: Lot's Wife Who Turned into A Pillar of Salt
Ever made a choice to leave a disaster in your life, but you just could not resist looking back? What happens when we linger too long on the past.
May 25: Zacheus, A Small Man with a Lot of Curiosity
What would you do to get a look at Jesus? And what would you say if, out of the blue, He said He was coming to your house for dinner today?!?
